St. James’s Club Morgan Bay - Resort Energy and Conversation Officer
The St. James’s Club Morgan Bay St. Lucia is seeking to recruit experienced talent to join our happy team of employees. We are currently taking applications for the position of Resort Energy and Conversation Officer.
Job Summary
Reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The Resource Energy Conservation Officer will be responsible for analysing the current usage and developing the Resort’s energy management plan in order to provide a quality learning environment with cost effective energy utilization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing, implementing and monitoring energy consumption reduction polices and strategies
- Promoting energy conservation awareness via training, workshops and conservation projects
- Monitors all departments at the resort to identify areas where energy is wasted or energy efficiency need improvement, analyzing utility usage in order to develop conservation projects
- Implement energy related cost saving meausres
- Compiles, maintains and files all energy reports, billings and other documents required
- Work closely with Engineering department in evaluating HVAC and other energy and lighting equipment to ensure effectiveness
- Implement and maintain a utility tracking database
- Prepare formal proposals and reports as required in relation to energy conservation to the Executive Office
- Create and oversee the implementation of short and long term projects and strategies that increase energy efficiency and minimize unnecessary consumption
Desired Skills
- Possession of good communication skills, excellent written and communication
- Must be computer literate and proficient in using excel, word processing, spreadsheets, bases and outlook
- Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, employees both inside and outside the organization
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must have at least five (5) years experience in a similar position
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidaays
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM certification)
- Project management experience will be an asset
