St. James’s Club Morgan Bay - Reservations Supervisor
Job Summary
Directly supervises the operations of the reservations department, by ensuring the provision of the most in-depth and accurate information regarding the resorts accommodation and be intimately knowledgeable of all the resort’s developments.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the functions of the reservations department
  • Liaise with Central Reservations, Front Office Manager and the Housekeeping Manager, to revise management report and assign hotel rooms appropriately
  • Maintain close liaison with housekeeping management to ensure that the supply of serviceable rooms reflect reservations requirements
  • Help group sales team and maintain a rooming list
  • Ensure that all batch reservations received are processed, reviewing them for cancellations, changes, special requests and VIP, repeat guests and action appropriately
  • Assist in the preparations of folios. Obtains all information required on each reservation and make note of all the special requirements
  • Be intimately knowledgeable of the Reservations system, availability, sales and blocking procedures
Desired Skills
  • Possession of good communication skills excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in using excel, word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and outlook
  • The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multi task
  • Prior knowledge of the Opera System would be an asset
  • Proven excellence in customer service
  • Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests and associates, employees both inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to manage bed stock
  • Understand rate and yield management
  • Must have at least five (5) years experience in a similar position
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays
