Massy Stores - Human Resource Officer
Main Responsibilities
- Provide HR Policy guidance, advice and recommendations to managers and employees on employee relations issues and grievances, discussing appropriate action and alternatives where needed, for resolution
- Assists mangers in determining appropriate course of action for disciplinary issues and services as a resource to both the employee and manager
- Conducts disciplinary hearings, ensuring that due process is followed and team members are treated fairly
- Oversees the recruitment procedure at locations to ensure that managers recruit according to company procedures and attract the best there are to the industry
- Supports proper orientation of new employees at assigned locations to ensure that new team members are well mentored during that period
- Ensures that employees end of the probation evaluations are completed on time
- Manages the company’s HR programs to ensure full participation by employees
- Conducts regular location visits to keep abreast with employee issues
- Provides guidance and oversees the yearly appraisal process for location employees ensuring that all team members are evaluated and documents are properly filed.
Educational Requirements and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology or a related discipline
- Minimum of three years working experience in HR or a related capacity
- Familiarity with the Labour Code would be an asset
