As a Spa Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects of the multiple spa locations. In this role you will ensure that everything is running smoothly behind the scenes, from staffing to scheduling to training of personnel. You are also expected to interact with and maintain professional relationships with corporate partners and clients. You are expected to be involved in marketing and sales efforts to help drive business to the spa.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration, health care or hospitality management OR comparative combination of relevant training and experience.
A minimum of (2) years of previous management experience required. Experience in a Spa atmosphere may be considered an asset.
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines with particular attention to detail and excellence in guest service
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive clear speaking voice both in person and over the phone
Ability to observe performance and detect signs of emergency situations and respond with proper action
Ability to participate in the creation of an enjoyable work environment
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff some of whom will require high levels of patience tact and diplomacy
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings and weekends
Must inspire leadership among team members and confidence among clients.
Should possess a collaborative mindset, positive attitude and problem-solving approach.
Proactive attitude, skilled at planning and initiating.
Knowledge and experience in financial management.
Assisting in scheduling employees and assigning work to ensure proper coverage
Ensuring that all team members are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively perform their jobs
Performing opening and closing duties
Assisting with scheduling spa appointments and services
Perform and initiate training of Spa team (including administrative and sales staff)
Maintaining a presentable and clean work environment
Interacting with guests in a professional and service-oriented manner
Answering questions about available services general facility information and amenities of Spa
Leadership of promotions and sales of spa services and retail products
Resolving guest complaints and communicating with the Managing Director regarding the issue and resolution in a timely manner
Monitoring supply of guest amenities and supplies and completing purchase orders as appropriate
Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all spa services packages promotions and retail products offered.
Maintain and set standards to ensure spa is positioned as market leader and provides a world class spa experience.
