Senior Accounts Officer 2

Essential Function
• Assist with the efficient operations of the Accounts and Finance Department through providing effective supervision of the junior accounts officers, providing support and reviewing and evaluating their work
• Ensure the timely and accurate capture of information; to review and analyze financial information and system reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability
• Assist with the completion of day and month end processes
• Maintain and coordinate accounting procedures and ensure adherence to accounting and ither systems of internal controls
• Assist the CFO to ensure the Bank fulfills necessary financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and other forecasting needs
• Work with the CFO to develop and implement policies and procedures, short and long range goals, objectives and plans
• Assist with meeting the external annual audit requirements
• Ensure the bank meets necessary compliance requirements
• Promote the core values of the institution
Core Qualifications/Experience
• Professional accounting accreditation or BSc in Accounting
• At least 3 years’ experience relevant working experience
• Strong ethical background
• Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and word processing computer applications
• Familiarity with accounting and/or other operating software
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind
• Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment
