FIFTY FARM WORKERS TAKE UP EMPLOYMENT IN CANADA FOR A TWO-YEAR DURATION.

Fifty Saint Lucian nationals departed Saint Lucia on May 12, via a charter flight from the Hewanorra International Airport, to take up employment in Canada under the Seasonal Agricultural Farm Workers Programme.

They will be employed for two years and eight months on farms in Ontario.

The Government of Saint Lucia extends heartfelt gratitude to the authorities in Canada, SLASPA and other local partners for facilitating this mission; as well as Canadian employers Cervini, Envirofresh, Bull Market, Double Diamond, Twin Peak, and D&L Basille.
