OVER 2000 STUDENTS WROTE THE JUNE 29 EXAM.

Education officials say the 2020 Common Entrance Examinations were a success. Chief Education Officer, Dr. Fiona Phillip Mayer, confirmed that the review of the June 29 examination process yielded positive feedback from students, parents, and educators.

“We continue to move forward and to forge ahead, and we’re pleased that the common entrance examination was executed without any incidence,” she said.

The Chief Education Officer also explained that Saint Lucia is in the process of forging ahead with the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA). The CPEA is an assessment of the literacies required by all pupils exiting the primary school system.

“The interesting thing about the CPEA is the fact that you do have internal assessments like projects, and journals. Everyone will have the opportunity to find out the program will impact them.”

The Ministry of Education will provide information on Common Entrance results as it becomes available.
