National Insurance Corporation - Internal Auditor I
The National Insurance Corporation is seeking to fill the position of Internal Auditor I to complement the Group of Internal Audit function.
Summary of Duties
To assist in the execution of the Group Internal Audit function in a manner that will help meet its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Risk Management, Controls and Governance processes within the National Insurance Corporations and its subsidiaries.
Reporting to the Head of Group Internal Audit the essential duties will entail:
- Executing internal audits in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audits
- Documenting and maintaining audit work papers in accordance with International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audits
- Clearly identifying and communicating audit issues on a timely basis
- Drafting internal audit reports in a timely manner
- Following-up on implementation of recommendations made on a timely basis
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Appropriate auditing and computer skills including but not limited to analytical and critical thinking
- Knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards
- A good understanding of computerized information systems, technology and controls (Essential)
- The ability to conduct audits using Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT) would be an asset
Required Experience and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of auditing experience with an internal audit function or public accounting firm, preferably within the Insurance and Financial Services Industry
- At least an Undergraduate Degree in Accounting of equivalent discipline
- Undertaking examinations for or has attained professional designation in accounting or internal auditing (ACCA, CAG, CA, CPA, CIA, CISA)
- Qualification in information systems and technology with experience in information systems analysis (Essential)
- Experience in auditing information systems and technology would be an asset
