Catering establishment in the North of the north of the Island is seeking suitably qualified candidates to join its team.
Pastry Cook/Baker
The following below will be considered in selecting the successful candidate to fill in the position.
The candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi task to work in a fast pace environment, with strong leadership ability, and must be capable of assisting the team in managing the café type cuisine independently & cost effectively, maintaining health and safety standards of the operation.




The candidate must be creative and passionate about cooking and must have hands approach with practical experience to create various types of breads, desserts, cakes, including cake decorating, pastries, hors d’oeuvres pizzas, snacks and catering menu to include healthy menu options, with an international and local twist.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking or related field.
Formal training in related field
Strong organizational Skills, effective Verbal & written Communication, computer literate
Problem solving skills, Creativity, strong Interpersonal Skills- strong team building skills.
Knowledge of the operating functions of kitchen equipment, tools, & appliances.
To assist in menu planning-Ability to assist in creating new recipes, maintaining expected food cost target.
To manage inventory of all products, supplies, food ingredients, for purchasing.
Manage productivity,




Cost management
Ability to maintain customer satisfaction and effectively handling of their queries, request, concerns.
Ability to perform tasks expected, follow instructions, ensuring that cleanliness health and safety standards of the kitchen are always maintained
Ability to work within guidelines, positive team approach, Time management
Experience:
Considerable hands-on experience in producing bakery items, creating various cakes and pastries, cake decorating skills and flexible in preparation and executing the menu to the required standard of the operation.
Requirements:
Must be able to obtain valid health card. Must be flexible to work varied shifts, possibly weekends & public holidays.
Candidates with Valid driver’s license or reside in the Gros Islet area would be to a great advantage.
