Flow - IT Specialist
The IT Specialist is responsible for technical support and operation of workplace technology and related components to the internal users and are part of the regional Workplace Technology Team which in turn form part of the regional IT Infrastructure Team.
He/She will be tasked with daily operational tasks and duties relating to Desktop PC’s, laptops, mobile/tablet devices, printers, conference room setup and desk phones amongst others. From time-to-time the job holder may be called upon to assist other IT department such as IT Infrastructure or Networks where local support is required. In addition, support of technology such as footfall counters, queue trackers, bill payment kiosks etc. in the company’s retail outlets will also be required.
Key Accountabilities Include:
  • Enterprise support approach supporting local and remote markets
  • Local hardware support includes, but not limited to desktops, servers, printers, WiFi
  • Becomes familiar with all local IT Infrastructure hardware
  • Takes responsibility to ensure that all local IT Infrastructure is properly registered
  • Ensures that all local IT Infrastructure is properly backed up and monitored
  • Utilize ticketing system (SCCD) to track and resolve incidents, requests and problems within defined SLA
  • Ensures Corporate standards are maintained and followed
  • Provide support to local market projects as assigned by Supervisor
  • Apply Desktop OS patches and upgrades to maintain consistency and security
  • Comply with change management policies
  • Ensure all user impacting or production system outages are documented and submitted
  • Contributes to local market Disaster Recovery planning and testing
  • Attends and actively participates in weekly or monthly meetings
  • Ensures system documentation is current and readily accessible via online documentation portal
Qualification and Experience
  • S in Computer/Information Technology or other technical qualification
  • 2+ years’ experience in desktop or systems administration
  • Industry certifications such as MCP, MCSA, MCSE, ITIL will be an asset
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP stacks and their functionality, troubleshooting of Windows Server, Linux and Macintosh systems and network printer solutions
  • Working knowledge of Internet Information Services 6.0 and later versions, web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures, various virtualization platforms, Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange systems and Office 365
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information, work effectively under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines
