Financial Controller
Boslil Bank Limited is looking to fill the role of Financial Controller

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Work with Senior Management to establish and monitor the strategic initiatives and targets of the Bank.
Ensure that the financial reporting functions of the Bank are run efficiently and effectively.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Work with Senior Management to design, implement, and
monitor the controls and risk management framework of
the Bank, ensuring adherence to existing policies and
procedures and adequate changes are made where new
risks emerge.
 Responsible for the production of the annual budget.
 Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the
Bank’s financial and operating systems.
 Responsible for coordinating the preparation of and then
reviewing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and
regulatory reporting.
 Responsible for implementing enhanced levels of automation to improve the efficiency of the reporting process
relating to the accounting and finance department (to be
coordinated with the IT department).
 Responsible for management of financial records and
reporting requirements.
 Timely completion and filing of Taxes.
 Coordination of the annual audit, internal audit and regulatory engagements as required.
 Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Bank’s
internal and external stakeholders.
 In line with internal controls and risk management responsibilities, manage access rights and maintenance of protocols
regarding software, SWIFT, bank accounts and investment
accounts.
 Supervise the work of direct reports and provide relief if and
when required.
 Act as one of the signatories to the Bank’s external bank and
investment accounts.
 Ensure awareness and adherence within area of responsibility to the Bank’s compliance procedures and policies.
 Perform quarterly and annual performance reviews on direct reports.
 Coordinate and oversee the implementation of staff development programs, including training for area of responsibility.
 Work with Senior Management in maintaining the Bank’s
strategic vision.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Management,
Finance or Economics would be an asset.
 Minimum eight (8) years relevant banking/
financial services experience and four (4) years at a
management level.
 Professional accounting accreditation, e.g. ACCA,
CA, CPA, CGA.
 Sound knowledge of investments, banking and antimoney laundering law, corporate, trust and tax law
is required.
 Good knowledge of international financial services
industry is required.
 Thorough knowledge of International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS)
