Caribbean Premier Sports Limited - Finance Manager
Reporting to the General Manager, the primary function of the Financial Manager is to co-ordinate the day to day financial operations of the company ensuring compliance with required controls and timely reporting of financial information to stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities Include:
  • Management of month-end reporting cycle, in conjunction with external service providers, to ensure timely review and completion of activities in line with month-end timetable
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting for submission of CPSL Operating Committee
  • Support the GM in preparation and presentation of required deliverables for Board of Directors, Operating Committee and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with external service providers to oversee the day to day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll, tax and other statutory returns for the company
  • Preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets
  • Development and monitoring of KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Reconciliation and review of GL accounts on a monthly basis and resolution of outstanding items
  • Timely preparation of annual financial statements and coordination of annual external audit
  • Ensure compliance with requirements for recognition and treatments of sports rights under both US GAAP & IFRS
  • Develop and maintain required internal policies and control procedures
Qualification and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree and membership of a recognized accounting body
  • 3 - 5 years post qualification experience
  • Accountancy training obtained in a globally recognized accountancy firm
  • Experience a ta senior level in the preparation and submission of month end financial reports
  • Analytical and solutions driven
  • Ability to influence others and gain alignment with multiple stakeholders
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, standards and techniques of budgeting, project accounting and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hyperion systems knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions and facilitate change
  • Developed business partnering skills;
  • Strong delivery focus with ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Team focused while able to operate independently;
