We are recruiting an Accounts Officer with responsibility in St. Lucia to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of the organization and to provide financial reporting and budgeting support to the Finance team.
The successful candidate will have key accountabilities as follows:
Accurate coding and scanning of invoices received in the department
Review weekly aging report to ensure required payments are processed on a timely basis
Processing of foreign payments in keeping with the cash flow forecast
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Process intercompany transactions
Assist with preparation of withholding tax statement and VAT filing

Conduct analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts monthly, particularly other debtors, creditors and operating income
Preparation of weekly trading report, daily trading reports, regional summary, and flash reports as applicable
Preparation of by Monday morning and follow up on commentaries from senior management
Preparation of weekly cash flow
Preparation of accrual journals – by the 1st monthly for any known expenses for which invoices are not available
Preparation of audit schedule for external auditors
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in Finance, Business Management or a related field

Must be Studying toward an Accounting designation
2 – 3 years’ Accounting experience in a similar role preferred
An understanding of Accounting principles
Computer literate, Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet package
The ability to operate standard office equipment
Awareness of Customer Care
Knowledge of accounting, inventory and POS software packages
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office application
