Vacancy - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
The preferred candidate should possess the following Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
  • Management/Administrative Diploma (UWI or other recognized institution)
  • Certificate in Computer Applications from recognized institution (MS Office)
  • Professional secretarial/administrative assistant accreditation
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in a similar capacity
  • Pleasant personality and telephone manner
  • Excellent command of the English Language (bilingual ability in Spanish would be advantageous)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Sound verbal, written and listening communications
  • Effective time management
  • Ability maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties:
  • Greet callers and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner
  • Answers telephone promptly and professionally
  • Presents a pleasant, professional and proactive demeanor to callers, visitors, co-workers and superiors
  • Provides general clerical and administrative support to General and HR Manager in the preparation of correspondence, reports and file management
  • Assists Human Resources Manager in the recruitment process: preparing and disseminating vacancy announcements, scheduling interview,s, processing and orienting new hires
  • Assists with planning and administering conferences, training seminars etc
  • Makes travel, hotel and other reservations as required
  • Prepares weekly payroll
  • Performs any other functions as required, to ensure or facilitate the effective and efficient operations of the company.
