Accountants

The Accountant team members are responsible for multiple clients at a time. This includes maintaining their accounting software, month-end closings, financial statement preparation, AP, AR, creating weekly cash flow reports, and tax preparation for their individual and business client bases.

Accountants are client-facing, so having a good personality is a plus 🙂

Expectations of Accountants

  • At least 2-5 years Accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas and macros a plus)
  • QuickBooks experience a plus
  • Should understand financial statements (journal entries, month-end closings, etc.)
  • Works well under pressure
  • Oversees 2 - 5 bookkeepers
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously
  • Exceptional attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong work ethic – “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Must be decisive and work well under pressure
  • Confident in one’s abilities and able to work independently, with minimal direction.
  • A strong appreciation of customer service
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using software, willing to learn new software as required by the position.

Accounting Manager / Controller

The Accounting Manager / Controller will be a strong individual contributor. He/she will manage the activities of Accounting team while providing exceptional outsourced controllership and advisory services as well as strategic direction to various clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as Accounting Manager / Controller for multiple small and mid-size businesses.
  • Develop policies and procedures relating to client service.
  • Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, analytics and KPI for client base.
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly interaction with clients.
  • Timely issuance of monthly financial reports to all clients
  • Oversees the process for accounts payable, receivables, reconciling, etc
  • Support on-boarding of new clients
  • Professional development, support, train and manage team of bookkeepers
  • Ability to lead client management meetings
  • Special client projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree Accountant with 5+ years’ experience
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented/strong critical thinking
