Essential Function
β’ Assist with the efficient operations of the Accounts and Finance Department through providing effective supervision of the junior accounts officers, providing support and reviewing and evaluating their work
β’ Ensure the timely and accurate capture of information; to review and analyze financial information and system reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability
β’ Assist with the completion of day and month end processes
β’ Maintain and coordinate accounting procedures and ensure adherence to accounting and ither systems of internal controls
β’ Assist the CFO to ensure the Bank fulfills necessary financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders
β’ Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and other forecasting needs
β’ Work with the CFO to develop and implement policies and procedures, short and long range goals, objectives and plans
β’ Assist with meeting the external annual audit requirements
β’ Ensure the bank meets necessary compliance requirements
β’ Promote the core values of the institution
Core Qualifications/Experience
β’ Professional accounting accreditation or BSc in Accounting
β’ At least 3 yearsβ experience relevant working experience
β’ Strong ethical background
β’ Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and word processing computer applications
β’ Familiarity with accounting and/or other operating software
β’ Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing
β’ Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind
β’ Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment
