GENERAL MANAGER Scotia Insurance Easter Caribbean Ltd


The primary responsibilities of this position is the management of Scotia Insurance Eastern Caribbean Limited (SIECL) – a new Insurance company based in St. Lucia with branch in Eastern Caribbean countries. The incumbent will oversee its operations, which includes setting up offices, recruiting sales staff and managing day-to-day activities. The incumbent also has primary responsibility to maintain SIECL’s insurance licences in good standing, which requires regularly liaising with the Supervisor of Insurance in each market.

Education/Desirable Criteria

  • A university degree and experience in the Insurance industry are essential. furthermore, an insurance industry designation (e.g. FLMI) is a definite asset
  • The incumbent will have 5 to 10 years’ experience in the management of financial services products or portfolios. Insurance experience preferred
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and a proven track record of delivering results
  • Proven leadership and management skills and an ability to work closely with the other senior bankers from the other countries and cultures
