VACANCY NOTICE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Electrical Supervisor, Water & Sewerage Company Inc (WASCO)




Position Summary
The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for the management and coordination of the installation, repair and maintenance tasks performed by licensed electricians in accordance with established codes and procedures of the trade.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop routine maintenance schedule for all electro-mechanical plant.
Inspecting and assessing the work done by the electrical staff.
Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
Keep accurate records on the installation, operation and maintenance of all electro-mechanical equipment.
Manage resources effectively.
Assist in the training of junior personnel.
Adherence to all established Codes and Specifications for the installation of all electro-mechanical plant and electrical installations.
Adherence to work processes and Health and Safety standards.
Preparation of annual work plan.
Preparation of all reports and unit’s annual budget.
To assist in the development of standards and procedures for all works.
Job Requirements




Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred
Certificate in Electrical Installations
Wireman’s License
Proven work experience as an electrical supervisor.
In-depth knowledge of the electrical industry
Strong leadership skills
Familiarity with relevant codes and safety requirements
Basic technical literacy
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and managerial skills.
In-depth knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Familiarity with electrical and safety codes.
Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Interpretation of Electro-mechanical drawings
Computer Literate
