JOB OPPORTUNITY: HOSPITALITY SALES MANAGER
Are you passionate about sales and the hospitality industry? Join Caribbean Producers St Lucia (CPJ) as our Hospitality Sales Manager! We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to lead our sales team and drive our food portfolio in bars, restaurants, hotels, and more.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership:
Lead and manage a small team focused on generating sales of CPJ’s food products in the hospitality industry.
Develop and execute strategies to grow sales revenue in the hospitality sector.
Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with company sales targets.
Monitor and review team performance against KPIs, providing guidance and support where needed.
Implement any activity, process or strategy that will improve the competitive advantage of the company, in consultation with the Management team.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and as required reports for dissemination to Management.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the hospitality sector, including bars, restaurants, and hotels.
Act as the primary point of contact for major clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term business partnerships.
Conduct regular market visits and engage in networking activities to identify new business opportunities.
Bid Management:
Oversee and manage the process for responding to bids and RFPs (Requests for Proposals) from hotels and other hospitality clients.
Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and finance, to develop competitive and profitable bids.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Warehouse Coordination:
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to clients.
Address and resolve any issues related to inventory availability or delivery delays that could affect client satisfaction.
Ensure clear communication between the sales and warehouse teams to maintain efficiency and order accuracy.
Team Development:
Mentor, coach, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide training and support to enhance the team’s sales capabilities and product knowledge.
Ensure the team is motivated and aligned with company objectives.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track sales performance through regular reporting and analysis of team metrics and customer feedback.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management on team progress, sales forecasts, and bid performance.
Adjust sales strategies as needed to meet changing market conditions and client needs.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the food & hospitality industries
A BSc Degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field
Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies, particularly in the hospitality industry, to drive revenue and achieve targets.
Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand market presence, and close deals effectively.
Ability to track team performance against KPIs and provide regular feedback and support to improve outcomes.
Strong leadership and team management skills in leading, managing and motivating a sales team to meet and exceed targets.
Ability to manage client expectations, handle complaints effectively, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Strong negotiation abilities to manage contract discussions, ensuring favorable terms while meeting client needs.
Strong knowledge of the food products offered by CPJ to effectively sell and promote them.
Ability to analyze sales metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
