The St. James’s Club Morgan Bay St. Lucia is seeking to recruit experienced talent to join our happy team of employees. We are currently taking applications for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk
Works directly with the Regional Financial Controller and Accountant regarding financial accounting policies and procedures. To manage the company’s Cash Floats and ensure that all cash received is deposited in a timely manner and to maintain accurate payable hotel accounting records.
Carry out supplier accounts reconciliations.
Collate invoices by suppliers and maintain supplier sub-ledgers.
Review supplier balances and terms of payments and prepare list for payment.
Prepare Accounts Payable schedules, reconciliations and aged analyses as required.
Maintain cheque register and update all accounts to reflect payments made.
Maintain a petty cash float to issue all due backs and issue cash to authorized persons.
Document all cheques received from customers.
Prepare daily deposits for cash received by means of cheque or cash for goods or services.
Possession of excellent communication skills excellent written and verbal communication.
Must be computer literate and proficient in using excel, word processing, spreadsheets, data bases and outlook.
Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, and associates, employees both inside and outside the organization.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to thrive under pressure
Ability to work independently.
Must have at least two (2) years experience in a similar position.
Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
