Since we first set up business on the fabulous island of St. Lucia back in the 1960’s, Sunswept Resorts has been at the forefront of the travel industry. The BodyHoliday a centre for health and well being was a first; not just in the Caribbean but also around the world.
General building fabric upkeep including preventative maintenance is the bedrock of effective facilities maintenance. To assist with this process, we seek a Chief Engineer to drive and direct the upkeep of the resort and to oversee the projects and day to day maintenance.

Reporting to: General Manager
The Chief Engineer must possess and display exceptional leadership and organizational skills. The incumbent must be organized, out-going, friendly, efficient, imaginative and hard working. He or she must be able to earn the respect of staff. A sound educational background and extensive maintenance management experience is essential. Business and/or management education or training would be an asset.
The Chief Engineer’s core responsibility is to ensure that every member of his or her team has the tools and the resources to succeed and that the hotel facilities and equipment are kept in good order so that the hotel’s guests are superbly taken care of. Success will be measured by the incumbent’s ability to meet corporate goals through the accomplishments of their team.
Job Requirements
- BSc in Engineering (mechanical and/or electrical preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of project management software
- Computer literate
- 5 years or more working on projects within a hospitality environment
- 5 years or more directing facilities management and PPM programmes
- Preferred- CARICOM national
