Media Release: EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR FILING OF PERSONAL INCOME TAX RETURNS

by Inland Revenue Department
This extension is intended to provide taxpayers with additional time to accurately complete and submit their returns.

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) hereby informs the general public that, pursuant to the provisions of the Income Tax Act, Cap. 15.02, an extension has been granted for the filing of 2025 Income Tax Returns.

The revised deadline for submission is April 10, 2026.

This extension is intended to provide taxpayers with additional time to accurately complete and submit their returns, in accordance with their statutory obligations, and to facilitate full compliance with the requirements of the Inland Revenue Department.

Employees, business owners, self-employed individuals, partnerships, and companies with a financial year ending December 31 are encouraged to take full advantage of this extension, after which penalties and interest will be applied in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act.

As the filing season draws to a close, the IRD remains committed to supporting taxpayers by providing the necessary guidance, tools, and assistance to facilitate compliance. Taxpayers are therefore encouraged to utilize the extended period to ensure timely compliance.

The Inland Revenue Department thanks the public for its cooperation and continued commitment to fulfilling its tax responsibilities.
