Summary
Reporting the Commercial Director, this key position is responsible for leading and driving the selling and distribution of the full portfolio of Windward and Leeward Brewery and DuBoulay’s Bottling Ltd, products and management of Sales Executives. Collaborating with the Category Managers and the Trade Marketing function to effectively develop and lead the Sales Team to achieve company targets, meet and exceed customer needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assign distribution and provide volume targets for sales executives
  • Develop and execute the business plan and budget to achieve of the yearly sales volume target
  • Participate in the rationalization and selection of Trade Marketing/Marketing programs to execute in the assigned Region
  • Lead Excellent Outlet execution in the assigned Region
  • Provide input into channel strategy and standards development
  • Cooperate closely with distributor(s) to ensure meeting mutual objectives
  • To increase sales volume (both in outlet and during events) in your Region, to drive consumer preference and loyalty during volume related promotions
  • Build and maintain distributor relationships to include resolution of distributor and outlet issues
  • Assess retail execution, including reviewing and synthesizing survey results
  • Assess region performance and create plan for improvements reporting to the commercial team on a monthly basis
  • Train and develop a team of sales professionals to effectively manage relationships with distributors and important retails outs
  • Effectively manage a diverse team of direct reports including assignment of duties, performance management, reward and recognition
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies especially safety at work
  • Manage and leading Ad Hoc Business Development projects requiring high level cross functional work
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bsc in Marketing, International Marketing and/or Business Management or similar field of study
  • A minimum of five (5) years or more commercial and/or sales/marketing experience at a senior level leading a team of at least ten (10) persons
  • A proven track record in effective people leadership required
  • Strong communication skills, presentation skills and analytical skills
  • Must be a holder of a valid driver’s licence and passport valid for international travel
