The Dennery Community Credit Cooperative Society Limited is seeking a reliable and goal-oriented individual to fill the position of ACCOUNTANT. The Dennery Community Credit Cooperative Society Limited is a community based credit union whose purpose is embedded in the cooperative principles.
The successful applicant must possess the following:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or equivalent (accounting certification).
At least three years of work experience in a similar or related role.
Requires a good working knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates strong analytical and technical skills.
Ability to resolve problems
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work well independently.
Ability to manage a team of four or more persons.
Responsible for the oversight of daily operation of the credit union’s accounting and financial functions, including investments, securities, and asset/ liability management. Performs accounting and financial analyses and prepares and compiles budgets and financial reports. Oversees the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory and other external agencies. Establishes and maintains internal accounting controls. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and established credit union policies and procedures. Responsible for the annual external financial audit.
