AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN

CORE FUNCTIONS
This individual is accountable for the set-up, operation and maintenance of audio visual and related equipment at the resort. He/she also performs the DJ function and plays a key supporting role in the delivery of first-class entertainment to guests.

A. Specific Knowledge & Skills Required

Strong interpersonal skills;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Strong planning and organisational skills;
Basic computer skills;
Critical and analytical thinking;
Problem solving and decision making skills;
Technical skills;
Use of tools and technology;
Computer savvy with knowledge of common office software, particularly presentation packages, such as PowerPoint;
Appreciates all forms of music and keeps abreast of trends in local and international genres;
Knowledge of electronics;
Camera and lighting techniques;

B. Qualifications and Experience

Certification in audiovisual techniques or related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution
5 CSEC/CXC passes including English and at least 2 of the following: Mathematics, Electronics, IT, Physics
