Real Foods Inc., the franchise holder for the KFC brand in St. Lucia, is looking to recruit a Warehouse & Commissary Manager for its growing operations.
The Warehouse and Commissary Manager will be responsible for examining, identifying, planning, and managing logistics, and warehousing/Commissary operations to ensure that accurate and complete accounting, reporting and internal control systems are functioning, and that all relevant records are accurately maintained. He/She will also be responsible for managing various aspects of Commissary operations to ensure the timely and cost-efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of all products to our stores and other customers. Duties include but are not limited to:
Supervise and effectively manage the warehouse and commissary labour force in the daily operations
Prepare schedules for Commissary Supervisors, and review and approve schedules for Commissary staff
Submit fortnightly and monthly payroll information to the Human Resources and Finance departments for processing.
Measure and track labour productivity (productivity standards goals), and recognize Team Members and Supervisors for exceptional performance.
Ensure necessary and effective disciplinary actions are reinforced as needed.
Compliance Management
Maintain compliance with KFC Standards and local government agencies, regarding warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements including Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), Ministry of Health, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, and the Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.’s).
Interact with Maintenance Department personnel to ensure that routine maintenance of equipment is carried out and report any breakdowns in a timely manager.
Ensure that the delivery truck mechanics and cold boxes (reefers) are in a safe and good working condition and any malfunctions are reported to the Maintenance Department.
Inventory Management, Distribution and Security
Oversee all Warehousing, Transportation and General Distribution of raw and processed products within the Warehouse/Commissary Department.
In collaboration with the Supervisors, verify the accuracy of goods received from suppliers to ensure that goods received matches with their respective invoice.
Ensure accurate inventory transfers from Commissary to stores or other customers as required, and that emergency orders are fulfilled with the urgency required.
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Conduct frequent physical audits and cycle counts in collaboration with the Finance Team.
Work with the Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Unit to minimize out of stocks as well as the incidence of short-coded product.
At least an Associate’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ warehouse leadership experience in the Food Retail or Hospitality industries
HACCP Certification
Class C or D driver’s license
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Computer literacy - competent in the use of Microsoft Suite, and hands-on experience using warehouse management softwares and databases, with the ability to learn new applications.
Detail oriented with the ability to meticulously analyze and review information for accuracy and completeness, especially as it relates to receiving and dispatching goods.
Good interpersonal skills
Customer-focused, analytical, and results oriented.
Must be able to multi-task with adjusting priorities
Working knowledge of local labour legislation and Health and Safety standards
Able to motivate and manage teams with different profiles and aptitudes
Some travelling is required for this position
Warehouse environment – must be able to stand for long periods and withstand changes in temperatures
