Job Title: Accounts Clerk

Summary of Duties:
The Accounts Clerk position provides accounting and clerical support to the accounting department in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Qualifications
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in clerical accounting
  • Associate degree in business or accounting an advantage
  • MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
  • Three to five years of progressive financial (payroll/accounting) responsibility/experience OR
  • A combined qualification and experience.

Job Title: Porter

Summary of Duties:
The Porter is responsible for the loading , unloading, moving, stacking of materials in the lumberyard as well as the general upkeep of the grounds and storage areas. The porter also assists in receiving and merchandising activities in the Lumber yard.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant knowledge of lumber, steel and other building materials
  • Three (3) year retail hardware/lumberyard experience preferred
Competencies and Skills
  • Familiarity with material handling
  • Standing with walking is required for most of the shift
  • Push and pulling pallets and lifting products, keeling, bending, climbing is required
  • Physical strength to handle up to 25- object, frequently. Some items weighing up to 50 lbs to be handled occasionally
  • Above average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot and balance
  • Above average endurance
  • Normal dexterity of hands and fingers with average repetition
  • Must be customer service oriented

Job Title: Floor Supervisor

Summary of Duties
The Floor Supervisors will assist the Duty Managers in ensuring the successful day-to-day running of the retail outlet. This involves assisting in managing the employees on the sales floor, enforcing company policies and ensuring the best customer service is provided at all times.

Predicts and anticipates sales. Researches, identifies and recommends potential suppliers.

  • A minimum of an Associate Degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain or related discipline PLUS,

Summary of Duties
The Marketing Assistant will assist the marketing team in daily marketing activities including production of marketing material and literature, Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications, Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature, Writing articles and promotional material for the company, Preparing data and information for website maintenance, Uploading marketing material to online libraries, internet groups and social media sites and Updating and maintaining the marketing department's documentation and databases.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant
  • Proven experience with Social Media Marketing
  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles

The Supervisor's primary responsibility is to coordinate activities of workers engaged in loading and unloading materials and in using and maintaining machines and equipment in lumber yard. The Supervisor also coordinates shipments in and out of yard and inspects for specified quantity and quality, and assist in merchandising and maintaining inventories of materials.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • At least Three (3) years Supervisory experience at a Lumber Yard
  • Three (3) year customer service experience preferred
Competencies and Skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Job Title: Verification Officer

Summary of Duties
The Verification Officer is primarily responsible for ensuring that the right goods and correct quantities are delivered for incoming and outgoing deliveries. The Officer also has responsibility for the general upkeep of the verification booth and may assist with merchandising and Inventory activities within the lumber Yard.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Three (3) years retail hardware and lumberyard experience preferred
