The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is the inter-governmental organization dedication to economic harmonisation and integration, protection of human and legal rights, and the encouragement of good governance between countries and dependencies in the Eastern Caribbean.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified nationals of Member States of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) to the fill the post of Facilities Supervisor - Cleaner/Driver at the OECS’ Facilities Unit based in Saint lucia.
Job Summary
Cleaner - Duties and Responsibilities Undertaking janitorial, hospitality and supervisory services for the cleaning services at the Commission:
- Supervise the day to day cleaning services of the cleaning team including performing spot checks
- Manage the gardening and security services of the Commission
- Provide janitorial services in all Commission Facilities
- Introduce new processes to improve cleaning services
- Report on emergencies, escalation, issues and complaints for workable solutions
- Procure all cleaning and supplies needs for the Commission
- Maintain and manage the inventory of cleaning and conference services
- Manage the monthly cleaning roster
- Manage the conference and meeting services
- Provide weekly report to Head of Facilities
- Duties and Responsibilities Manage the Commission’s fleet, provide driving services, manage the messenger services of the OECS Commission
- Manage the dispatch services as well as provide daily driving services
- Reconcile and approve the daily use and services of the Commission’s fleet
- Introduce new processes to improve messenger services within the Commission
- Access and report on emergencies, escalation, issues and complaints for workable solutions
- Maintain the Commission’s fleet in good working condition including washing and servicing
- Provide weekly reports on all driving and messenger services to Head of Facilities
- Provide additional services as required by the Head of Facilities
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
Cleaner - Education and Training The ideal candidate should have:
- A certificate in Supervisory skills
- Completed Secondary School
Driver - Education and Training The ideal candidate should have:
- Certificate in Supervisory skills
- Completed Secondary school education
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, and must be endorsed to drive a minibus
- Must possess diplomatic skills
Cleaner - Work Experience
- Must have at least two (2) years supervisory experience
- At least two (2) years cleaning experience
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills in word and excel and use of internet
Driver - Work Experience
- Must have two (2) years supervisory experience
- Must have two (2) years driving experience with a good record
- Police Record Required
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have basic computer skills in word and excel and use of the internet

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
The position is on the permanent establishment subject to satisfactory annual reviews. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and exempted from income taxes.
