THE GOVERNOR GENERAL OF SAINT LUCIA WILL TODAY HAND OVER A DONATION TO THE ORGANIZATION.
Patron of the Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Association (SLBWA), Her Excellency Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy will today hand over a donation to the organization during a brief ceremony at Government House.
The donation is the result of a collection taken for the benefit of the Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Association during the church service to celebrate the 20th anniversary of HE Dame Pearlette as Governor General.
The donations will go toward funding the operations of the SLBWA which considered closure earlier this year as a result of extreme financial challenges.
