Media Release: Soufriere Constituency Council Board sworn in



THE NEW AGENDA WILL ADDRESS VENDING, TOWN BEAUTIFICATION, AND REPAIRS TO PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE.

The Soufriere/Fond St. Jacques Constituency Council Board was sworn in on Wednesday, Nov. 14, to commence its second tenure.

Re-appointed Mayor, Pius Gangardine, expressed gratitude to the councillors and staff for their commitment and hard work. He also conveyed his well wishes to the constituents for their support and co-operation.

Mayor Gangardine indicated that there are a few ongoing issues from the previous tenure which the new council board will be working to resolve. High on the agenda is the management and operations within the town for vending, town beautification exercises, and repairs to public infrastructure.

The previous Board appointment was from July 2016 to July 2018. This new tenure is from August 2018 to August 2020.
