Media Release: Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic suspends services

THIS IS TO FACILITATE THE USE OF THE VICTORIA HOSPITAL SITE FOR COVID-19 CLIENTS.

As of Wednesday, March 25, and until further notice, the services of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic located at Old Nurses’ Home, Victoria Hospital shall be suspended.

This suspension is to facilitate the use of the Victoria Hospital site for COVID-19 clients isolated for treatment and care. There are preparations to make physical changes to another facility for its use as the Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic. As soon as those preparations are complete, the public shall be informed of the availability of these services.

The Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic services at the Vieux Fort Wellness Center shall continue on Tuesdays as normal. In the absence of Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic services at the Victoria Hospital, clients who require medications and have an expired prescription can visit the pharmacy with their expired prescription. Once you present your prescription it will be fulfilled even if it is expired.



When the services of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic resume, it is advised that you attend clinic at your earliest convenience to update your prescription. Additionally, from Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Hansen’s Clinic shall take place at the Castries Health Center during the morning until further notice.

The Department of Health and Wellness apologises for any inconvenience these changes may cause. At this time, we have the safety and well-being of our clients first and foremost, in our efforts to contain and reduce the spread of COVID-19.
