In March, LUCELEC partnered with the Ministry of Health to offer the first shot of the Astra Zeneca COVID-19 vaccine to its staff. Over 50 team members and contractors took advantage of the convenience to get vaccinated at the Cul-de-Sac power station. The move provided added protection for members of our essential service who, by the nature of the job would have been challenged to access a local vaccination site. Later this week, the company and Ministry will offer the second and first dose of the vaccine. The accommodation will include those who got vaccinated off site in a public facility during the eligibility period for the second shot and those who want to receive the first shot. LUCELEC will also present the Medical Team working at its facility with a token of appreciation. It will form part of the Company’s support of the national observance of Nurses Month in May. This is in addition to the company’s sponsorship of t-shirts for the national vaccination drive. The medical team will visit the power station in Cul-de-Sac on Thursday, May 13. Related Articles
