Property Development & Management Company
JOB SUMMARY
Required to prepare architectural and / or engineering design drawings and models from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and / or any other primary data for all projects to be undertaken by NIPRO.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the preparation of drawings and 3D renderings required for NIPRO construction projects and create maps, drawings and designs utilizing AutoCAD or other computer assisted drafting equipment.
- Produce schematic designs, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing drawings, structural drawings, as-built drawings and make ongoing revisions to original drawings.
- Conduct measured surveys, prepare detailed “As-Built” drawings of existing facilities, maintain complete and accurate records of drawings and issue copies of drawings to client, contractor and/or consultant as approved by the Project Services Manager.
- Classify and file engineering drawings and assist the maintenance personnel and the Project Services Manager with project tasks as assigned.
- Supervise small projects when directed by the Project Services Manager.
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports as required.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Project Services Manager and Facilities Manager.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in the use of CAD software and Microsoft Office
- Ability to perform basic engineering computations, prepare maps, plans and records demonstrable analytical thinking ability
- Ability to read and interpret field notes, engineering and construction drawings and identify and resolve discrepancies and missing data
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalent.
- Specialized training in Building Construction, Architectural Design Technology or Project Management.
- At least five (5) years working experience performing a Drafting Technician function
- Experience in 3D rendering would be an asset
