Position Overview

In this newly created position, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for assisting with the
development and implementation of inventory control policies, standard procedures, systems and best
practices. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for securing and overseeing the
warehouse and its staff for the purpose of maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s
inventory information and real estate.
The incumbent will supervise the management of stock controls, records, receipt, storage, retrieval,
transfers, and timely delivery of goods, while analyzing and identifying discrepancies to provide
actionable recommendations for proper inventory management.




Key Responsibilities

Daily operations

 Continuously contribute to the organizational and overall maintenance of the warehouse,
ensuring warehouse operations are efficient and recommend improvements in procedures and
general operation to the Country Manager.
 Supervise the daily warehouse operations including the co-ordination of work between internal
and external personnel.
 Comply with all company policies and procedures and ensure employees are held accountable as
well.
 Oversee the offloading of containers and follow company procedures for the receiving of stock.
 Coordinates all Wholesale/B2B orders to ensure all orders are pulled and fulfilled as requested.
 Check on quantity and quality of all goods received against supporting documents.
 Collect transfers, picking lists and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and distribute to relevant staff to
retrieve goods for delivery.
 Efficiently and accurately fill requisitions from the Branch in a timely manner.
Stock Handling - SLU
 Oversee the productivity and efficiency of all Warehouse Attendants as it relates to the up keeping
of the stock integrity.
 Monitor inventory levels in order to provide accurate stock checks and bin audits for efficient
buying.
 Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and in good, saleable condition.
 Ensure the correct inventory is dispatched for deliveries, with the appropriate system transfers
and documentation.
 Ensure Warehouse Attendants handle goods with care, whether in pulling goods, packing goods,
labeling goods, loading goods in truck, delivery etc.
 Organize the warehouse and stock room to ensure that the same goods are reflected in the
Branch.
 Ensure all inventory is properly “put away” into their respective bins.
 Supervise and participate in all bin audits and maintaining stock records in accordance with the
company policy and procedures.
 Prepare containers for external shipment.
 Assess and inform the Country Manager of damaged stock in the warehouse in order for
adjustments to be made to the stock.
Stock Handling – ECOMMERCE
 Receive online orders, including Click and Collect, Payment on Delivery and Curbside Pickup on a
daily basis ensuring all orders are verified and processed on the system before fulfilment.
 Supervise the team in efficiently and accurately picking and filling ecommerce orders and verify
orders before shipping.
 Verify and package ecommerce orders as per procedure.
Data Integrity
 Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
 Identify inventory variances and manage control measures to ensure stock inaccuracies and
discrepancies are highlighted, investigated and resolved.
 Review and ensure other supporting departments are maintaining proper inventory activity
including but not limited to receipts, shipping, cycle counts, bin movements, inventory
adjustments and purchase orders.
Reporting
 Produce weekly warehouse checklist reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system and
management of the operations are controlled.
 Collaborate with the Accounts Department to produce inventory valuation reports.
 Investigate inconsistencies in the data system (currently NAV), alert, present solutions for and
report any anomalies found.
Systems and Technology
 Ensure the optimal usage of systems & technology (e.g. NAV DYNAMICS) in order to enhance
operational efficiencies, incorporating the demands of ongoing business process requirements.
Daily Supervision/People Management
 Assist the Country Manager in rostering of weekly staff and provide any recommendations that
would improve organisation of the warehouse.
 Fairly and appropriately delegate tasks and assess staff performances and handle disciplinary
action when necessary.
 Assist in the coaching and training of employees in warehouse operations, company procedures
through punctuality and attendance, dress code and behavior.
 Responsible for the maintenance of inventory equipment, company vehicles and computer
hardware. Report any necessary repairs to the Country Manager.
Safety and Security
 Comply with all company policies and procedures and take initiative to hold others accountable
of same, including but not limited to safety rules, personal belongings, use of company’s property
and equipment and security violations.
 Demonstrate by example, the safe operation of all warehouse equipment. Ensure that all
equipment is regularly serviced and is always in good working condition.
Job Requirements

Knowledge/Experience:

 Five (5) CXC O’ Level passes inclusive of Math and English.
 Certificate in Inventory and Warehouse Management for Business Professionals.
 A minimum of five (5) years work experience in the field of Inventory Management.
 Minimum two (2) years’ experience supervising employees.
 Experience creating and implementing inventory management and cycle count procedures and
process controls.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
 Experience working in a dynamic environment of change.
