CAACM Job Description: MARKETING RESEARCH & PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
Responsibilities
- Undertake research and analysis to assist the CAACM in expanding its membership.
- Actively follow up communication to targeted potential members.
- Maintain Committee work plans and monitor/ track agreed performance targets.
- Oversee CAACM’s website; ensure all content is relevant and up to date for members and the industry as a whole.
- Manage CAACM’s social media platforms ensuring that they remain current and dynamic; Facebook, Linked-in, etc.
- Provide timely updates on key topics to our members garnered by following/liking appropriate organizations’ websites and social media feeds.
- Administer the “Ask the Expert” component of the website.
- Develop presentations on the activities of the association for use in promoting the association’s business as well as for presentation to potential and existing members.
- Assist with the CAACM’s conference promotion including increasing the attendance levels at conferences.
- Assist CAACM committees in the execution of approved work plans as required.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree and/or certification in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field.
- Relevant experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Highly IT literate especially in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher.
- Hands on experience in managing websites and social media platforms.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Excellent writing, editing and formatting skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Good time management skills.
- Considerable skill in planning and project management, including ability to maintain composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines
- Dependable – able to follow instruction, respond to directions from the CAACM’s Board; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments; commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; complete tasks on time or notify appropriate persons with an alternate plan.
