The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) wishes to contract the services of a suitable candidate to fill the position of Assistant Lighthouse Keeper - Vigie Lighthouse (Temporary) for the period of 15th July 2019 to 15th September 2019.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
5 CXCs including English and Mathematics
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Skills:
Computer literate, excellent communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Ensure lights are functioning properly by reporting faults and malfunctions promptly
- Operate the communication sets to receive and transmit calls to and from vessels and personnel employed by the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority
- Assist in the coordination of rescue operations at sea
- Keep a constant lookout and report promptly any vessel which appears to be in distress
