We are seeking a skilled and versatile Carpenter and Painter to join our team in Soufrière! We are an intimate, friendly and hardworking team who have been running this 28-room resort for 5 years. The ideal candidate will possess strong carpentry skills alongside high-quality painting and finishing expertise, with a keen eye for detail and pride in workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform carpentry work including repairs, installations, and custom woodwork.

Repair and maintain furniture, doors, fixtures, and structural elements across the property.

Prepare surfaces and carry out interior and exterior painting to a high standard.

Ensure proper surface preparation including sanding, filling, sealing, and priming.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner.

Conduct inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure excellent presentation and condition.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in both carpentry and painting.

Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and finishing techniques.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment is an asset.

Having your own tools initially is a plus.
