The Landings Resort and Spa is a 5-star, 4-diamond, luxurious all-suite beachfront resort. The resort carries
150 well-appointed one, two, and three-bedroom villa suites with stunning waterfront views, multiple terraces,
fully equipped gourmet kitchens, elegantly furnished dining/living areas, Italian-tile floors - some with private
plunge pools. The resort also boasts 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a coffee shop and in-room dining options for
guests.

VACANCY EXISTS:
Watersports Instructor/Boat Driver
The Landings Resort and Spa, a prestigious luxury resort located in the northern part of Saint Lucia, is seeking
a highly skilled and customer service oriented individual to join its team as a watersports instructor/boat
driver. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional experiences to our guests while
ensuring their safety and enjoyment during various watersports activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Boat Operations – operate and navigate a variety of boats including motorboats, sailboats and other
watercraft, ensuring the safety of guests and equipment.
• Watersports Activities – assist guests in engaging in a range of watersports activities such as
wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling.
• Safety Compliance – implement and enforce all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use
of safety equipment, emergency procedures and guest briefing on safety guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance – perform routine inspections, maintenance and cleaning of boats and
watersports equipment to ensure optimal functionality, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Guest Assistance – provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with equipment selection,
fitting and instructions as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
• Instruction and Training – conduct basic instruction and training sessions for guests, ensuring they have
a clear understanding of watersports techniques, safety guidelines and equipment usage.
• Emergency Response – act swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations including boat
malfunctions, accidents or guest distress, following emergency procedures.
• Record-Keeping – maintain accurate records of boat usage, incidents and equipment inventory, as well
as guest waivers and consent forms.
• Team Collaboration – collaborate with other members of the watersports team to ensure smooth
operations, assist in coordinating activities and participate in regular team meetings and training
sessions.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:
• SLASPA licensed boat operator.
• 2 or more years’ experience as a watersports instructor.
• Knowledge of rigging and setting up of hobiecats and windsurfing equipment.
• Knowledge of water skiing equipment and safety procedures.
• Understand how to fit life preservers/jackets.
