Summary:

Caribbean Grains Limited located in the town of Vieux Fort is a local manufacturer of both white and whole wheat flour and animal feed. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE::

Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.

In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in MS Office Suite and key HRIS software.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enforce all occupational safety and health rules and guidelines.

Develop and administer human resource strategies and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy.

Manage an appropriate Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding process and provide relevant training to managers and supervisors to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Identify relevant training and development programs to ensure continuous development of the company’s human capital.

Train managers to coach and discipline employees; schedule hearings and resolve employee grievances; counsel employees and supervisors.

Oversee an appropriate performance management process that drives high performance.

Manage the relationship with the recognized employee representative to ensure an amicable industrial relations climate.

Maintain employee benefits and incentive programs.

Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing labour law requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
