Food Express Ltd is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to join our team in the position of Human Resource Officer.
General Purpose:
The HR Officer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and is expected to work closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures.




Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop advertisements for publishing vacancies both internally and externally
Shortlist potential candidates and conduct interviews.
Verify source documents for payroll preparation.
Provide guidance on disciplinary procedures
Liaise with a wide range of associations involved in policy areas
Research, design, conducts, facilitates and lends support in developing and implementing relevant in-house training and development initiatives.
Provide consultative support to supervisors and managers in effectively identifying and addressing employee development needs.
Maintain Performance Appraisal Database
Skills and Other Attributes Required:
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to interact with team-members
Ability to use initiative and get things done with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be flexible and willing to work extra hours when required
Dedication towards meeting objectives and deadlines
Team player, committed to achieving team goals




Qualification & Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in or similar position
BSc in Human Resource Management, Business and Accounting or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Familiarity with payroll procedures and appropriate IT programmes to include Microsoft Office,
Sound Knowledge of St. Lucia Labor Code would be an asset
