Summary
We are currently recruiting a technical team to work from our base in Rodney Bay, St Lucia. This team
will be supporting the phase-out operation ensuring yachts are ready to be handed back to our owners
in great condition with all repairs completed and maintenance up to date. In addition to this day-to-day
charter base operation support will be required. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to
operational requirements.
Please note that this is a fixed term contract for 14 weeks.
What you will be doing:
• Repair and maintain all interior and exterior structural woodwork on the yachts within agreed
timescales
• Repair as necessary the following areas (including but not limited to):
o Floorboards & Bulkheads
o Mirrors & Catches
o Cabinets, Hinges, Catches, etc
o Saloon Table & Chart Table
o Hatches & Blinds
o All Doors, Locks & Drawers
o Companion Step & Hand Rails
o Companion Hatch & Drop Boards
o Plexi for Instrument Panels
o Gasket on Ice Box Lids
o Vinyl on Sides & Ceiling
o Deck and Rails
o Velcro behind all saloon cushions, ensuring secure & functioning
• Actively involve self in repairs or retrofit projects on all yachts
• Assist with the enforcement of control mechanisms designed to stop waste
• Keep the work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Report any defects or potential defects you notice whilst carrying out duties using the digital
maintenance platform
• Coordinate purchasing of material inventory with the supervisor; be responsible for having
adequate but not excessive inventory on hand
• Any other duties as directed by your line manager or the Base Manager
The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Skilled experience as a shipwright in a similar role
• Able to work unsupervised and meet tight deadlines
• Good knowledge of departmental and yachts equipment and tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs weight
• Yachting experience and able to maneuver yachts (desirable)
• Able to swim
• Practically minded with an ability to solve problems
• Positive personality
• A strong team player
