TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and overseeing all training and development initiatives and identifying and arranging suitable training solutions for employees at all stages in their careers geared towards improving overall performance and productivity.

Develop, participate in, and implement strategic plans for the training and development arm of the People & Culture department that are aligned with the company’s vision, mission, principles and strategies and support the achievement of the resort’s goals.
Conduct training and development needs assessment.
Assist in the development of the annual training budget and preparing cost projections and other financial metrics in conjunction with the Director of People & Culture.
Develop appropriate and innovative training plans, objectives and materials utilizing various formats and media including group discussions, presentations, simulations, case studies and video among others.
Establish and circulate training schedules for the resort.
Plan and administer on-going training and development programs which will facilitate well-trained team members at all levels and permit advancement for those persons qualified and interested in career development.
Presents and/or facilitates various forms of onboarding, orientation, soft and technical skills training for team members at all levels throughout the resort.
Create an exceptional introductory experience to the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort brand for new hires via the development and implementation of various forms of onboarding and orientation training content, that conveys luxury, and enables team members to have a clearly defined understanding of the culture, values, standards and procedures of the resort.
Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
Assist in always maintaining consistency in the execution of operational standards by monitoring departmental trainer and team member performance.
Work collaboratively with all departmental leaders to ensure departmental-specific training and development needs are met.
Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests, evaluations, assessments, surveys, feedback, and retraining requirements.
Regularly review guest survey results to determine training need areas.
Prepares and submits monthly reports based on established goals and objectives relevant to training plans and programs, topics covered, participation levels by department and grades across the resort.
Conduct follow up studies of completed training to evaluate and measure results and the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, feedback, guest survey platform results, and performance monitoring.
Perform all accountabilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image of the company to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance.
Perform all necessary managerial functions required to effectively and efficiently manage the training and development function in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Human Resources Training and Development managerial role or similar role
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources Development or a minimum of five (5) years equivalent training and development managerial work experience in a luxury hospitality environment
Exceptional level of attention to detail
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
Adept with a variety of multi-media training platforms and methods
Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and learning management software
Experience in the design and administration of training plans and associated training activities
