The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for coordinating successful meetings and events, including food & beverage services. He or she supervises the Banquet team in all aspects of service from setup or breakdown to timing of meal courses around ceremonial activities.
Specific Requirements/Duties of the Position Include:
  • Assisting the Banquet Manager in the planning of functions and events.
  • Contributing to pre-event briefings on sequence of service unique to each event.
  • Liaising with the Banquet Manager on a regular basis to discuss function details and logistics.
  • Ensuring that established sequence of service is consistently followed.
  • Conducting on-the-job training of team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Certification in Food & Beverage Management, Event Management or related field
  • Food Handler’s Permit
  • Two (2) years’ experience in Food & Beverage including banqueting
