Restaurant Cashier
Responsibilities:
To carry out Cash Transactions and related reports and records in a timely and orderly manner in keeping with the standards of the company.



Expectations:
Suitable candidate is expected to meet deadlines within the Accounting and Food & Beverage Departments and other reports as given and report all discrepancies and concerns to the Financial Controller. Applicant is expected to prioritize job functions and duties in order to effectively meet set deadlines.
Applicants must possess the following:
Five CXC Subjects with passes at Grade 3 level for Mathematics and English.
One year related experience Cashier or Accounting Department.



Computer literate: Ability to operate basic Applications such as Microsoft word and Excel.
Ability to operate office equipment such as printers, copiers, telephones, calculators etc.
Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and communicate effectively with management and line staff.
Effective problem solving and stress management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to Multitask and carry out other functions within the Restaurant when required such as serving guests and assisting at the Bar.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information, data and arithmetic functions.



Excellent listening skills and ability to understand, clarify and resolve concerns and issues raised by associates and guests.
Applicant must be able work well within a group or alone.
Willingness to work unsociable hours and alternate days due to the nature of the Hotel Industry and in an effort to meet deadlines.
