Media Release: Under 16 Youth Netball Tournament ends today

IN THE FINAL ENCOUNTERS, TRINIDAD COMPETES AGAINST DOMINICA WHILE SAINT LUCIA WILL PLAY SAINT VINCENT.

The Jean Pierre under-16 Youth Netball Tournament, which is currently being held in Saint Lucia, will culminate this evening, Wednesday April 11, at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Castries.

So far, team Saint Lucia has been executing its game quite remarkably, having out-performed Dominica in the opening game on Saturday April 7, with 37 points to their opponents 8 points.

On day two the team met with team Barbados and at the final whistle the scores were tied at 27 each. In their third game on Monday morning, team Saint Lucia beat Trinidad and Tobago 32 to 19. However the team lost to Jamaica, 36-21 that evening.

On Tuesday, April 10, Saint Lucia bounced back to defeat Grenada 28-22.

This evening, Wednesday, April 11, in the final encounters Trinidad and Tobago will come up against Dominica at 5:30 p.m. while Saint Lucia will play Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at 6:30 p.m. Jamaica and Barbados will square off in the final game at 7:30 p.m.

The closing ceremony and awards presentation will be held from 8:30 p.m.
