THE DEADLINE DATE TO FILE INCOME TAX RETURNS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 3.
The Inland Revenue Department wishes to advise that the statutory deadline of March 31 falls on a Saturday, therefore the deadline date to file income tax returns for income year 2017 has been extended to Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Employees, business owners, self-employed persons, partnerships and companies with a year-end of Dec. 31, have until then to file their returns before the interest and penalties are applied.
With the tax season coming to a close, persons are strongly advised to file and pay before the extended due date to avoid the last minute rush.
