GRENADA MOURNS THE LATE CEO OF THE CACCI.

It is with deep sadness that the Office of the Mayor has learnt of the passing of Dr. Roy A. Hastick Sr., the Founder and CEO of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (CACCI).

Grenadian Born, Dr. Roy A. Hastick Sr. contributed immeasurably to and represented the interests of Caribbean people and businesses in New York City, strengthening commercial links between the Caribbean and the Diaspora.

In light of this, the Office of the Mayor wishes to join with the people of New York City and the region, particularly Grenada, in mourning the death of a giant.

Mayor of the City of Castries, His Worship Peterson D. Francis, has noted that the Caribbean and the world have lost “a giant of a man” with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Mayor Francis was bestowed with an honorary medal by the CACCI. He was also made an honorary member of the organisation at a special meeting of the CACCI while on an official visit to New York in July 2017.

“From my encounter with Dr. Roy A. Hastick Sr., he was a modest, unmatched resident who had an affinity and commitment to Caribbean people and the development of Caribbean business in the diaspora. Through his work and engagements, he transformed many. By this, his legacy and memory will never fade away,” the Mayor Francis said.

The Office of the Mayor extends its deepest condolences to his family and recognises with great pride the contributions he made to the nation.
