Earthquake Rattles Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, Wednesday January 17, 2018 – A 4.9 magnitude earthquake rattled Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago late last night, but caused no damage or injuries.
The quake struck around 9:49 p.m. about 84 km northwest of Trinidad’s capital, Port of Spain; 107 km northwest of Arima, Trinidad; and 113 km southwest of St George’s, Grenada.
The depth was recorded at 23 km.
Residents of the two neighbouring CARICOM countries reported feeling the tremor.
