A vacancy currently exists for the post of Project Manager, Land Rationalisation. The successful candidate will be accountable for all matters relating to the “Land Rationalisation Project”, the objective of which is to facilitate and enhance social economic and land development. The ideal candidate will be technically sound on land management issues with a proven track record of project management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and oversees the management of the technical and operational aspects of the land rationalisation project
- Reviews and tracks project plans and monitors the associated budgets
- Provides effective leadership to all project staff, prepares project proposals
- Reviews design documents and site plans to ensure compliance
- Monitors the co-ordination of infrastructure installation, ensures required inspections are completed
- Prepares weekly and monthly project status reports
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Land Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Planning or related area preferred
- At least 10 years’ experience in technical/land management issues and site development, 5 of which should be at the senior management level
- Proven experience in overseeing land development projects
- Strong project management and leadership skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge & skills in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS systems
