SGD Engineering Services Company is seeking suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of:
Store Sales Representative.
The selected individual will be responsible for the sales of products and services. This person will also be required to be the direct point of contact with customers and clients. They will be responsible for ensuring customers’ and clients’ needs and expectations are met.
Requirements:
● A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience (Experience with hardware sales is a plus).
● CXC Graduate with passes in Mathematics and English.
● Previous experience in a sales, retail, or cashier role is an asset.
● Strong customer service orientation.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
● Basic math and computation skills.
● Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
● Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
● Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using a point-ofsale (POS) system.
● Provide Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them with their purchases, and
answer any questions they may have about products or services.
● Maintain Cash Drawer: Ensure the cash drawer is balanced at the beginning and end of each
shift and report any discrepancies to management.
● Handle Returns and Exchanges: Process customer returns and exchanges in accordance with
company policies.
● Issue Receipts and Invoices: Provide customers with accurate receipts and ensure all
transactions are properly documented.
● Promote Sales: Inform customers of current promotions, discounts, and special offers.
● Assist in Stocking: Help maintain inventory levels by restocking shelves and informing
management of low stock items.
● Uphold Store Appearance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and presentable always.
● Assist with End-of-Day Procedures: Help with closing duties, including securing the cash
register and closing the store.
